Park "Gardeners" named after Yu.M. Luzhkov in the city of Moscow

moscow, Andropov Avenue, 58A

Description:

The park was laid out in 1989, located on the site of a large wasteland along Andropov Avenue. It was officially opened as a park of culture and recreation of residents of the Krasnogvardeysky district of Moscow, becoming a favorite place for recreation of citizens. In 1999, by decrees of the Moscow government, the park was granted the status of a natural complex, at the same time it was included in the protective zone of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve. In 2005, in the center of the Gardeners Park, the Riga Park was created based on sketches and projects of Latvian specialists, whose elements resemble Riga. In the southern part of this park there are paths stylized as the winding streets of Old Riga, a wall lined with stone and decorated with flowers, in the northern part - children's playgrounds, two volleyball fields, a carousel and a cable car.

On holidays, folk festivals are held here, invited artists and pupils of children's clubs of the district perform on the stage installed in the park.
