Lake Mazurin

Russia, Moscow region, Balakhisha city district.

Description:

Mazurinsky Lake is a lake of man-made (artificial) origin. It originated at the site of peat development. Earlier, in the XVII century, on the site of this reservoir there were swampy peat swamps, which had glacial origin. Currently, due to the huge amount of runoff production water from the water supply station, this reservoir has completely disappeared and turned into a kind of mud polygon. In the future, the Mazurinsky microdistrict is planned to be created near the treatment facilities.
