Akademika Tupolev embankment is located in the Central Administrative District of Moscow, which is located in Basmanny District. The length of the embankment is only 1.5 km.
Previously, this embankment was called Saltykovskaya and Razumovskaya. And only on September 14, 1973, in honor of academician, aircraft designer Andrei Tupolev, the name was approved, which has survived to this day. It is interesting that since 1918 there was a design bureau with a factory in which aircraft were created. The plant was given a name that was directly related to the name of the academician.
The embankment borders with Mruzovsky and Elizaveta lanes, as well as with the pedestrian Saltykovsky bridge. On this embankment there is a lock of the Yauzsky hydroelectric complex of 1938. You can also see the Tupolev Plaza office complex, residential buildings and much more.
Near the embankment of Academician Tupolev are such metro stations as "Kurskaya" and "Chkalovskaya". You can also get to this place by tram number 24 or bus number 78.
