Novoarbat bridge
Description:
The Moscow River flows in the capital for almost 80 km. Through it built many bridges, and, each of these structures has its own architectural features. The New Arbat Bridge is one of these structures.
Today this bridge connects Novy Arbat with one of the main arteries of Moscow – Kutuzovsky Prospekt. The official date of its construction is 1957. For the first time in the history of Moscow urban planning, the technology of welding steel spans was used here. The main one is located at a 70-degree angle to the river. It is interesting that architecturally with the Novoarbatsky bridge is connected and pre-bridge area.
At the beginning of the century, a comprehensive audit of all bridge structures of the capital was carried out in the capital. There was a clear deflection on this bridge. An urgent reconstruction was required, and it was successfully carried out. In 2004, the bridge was reopened. Now from the Novoarbatsky bridge you can admire the numerous embankments and views of the square of Europe.
