Kutuzovsky Avenue, 38, Moscow, Russia

Description:

The monument to M.I. Kutuzov in Moscow near the Museum-panorama "Battle of Borodino" appeared in 1973. Its creators are N.V. Tomsky and L.G. Golubovsky. The monument is located at Kutuzovsky Prospekt, 38.

The majestic bronze sculpture of the brilliant Russian commander on a horse is placed on a multimeter granite pedestal, made in the form of a rectangle. Kutuzov's hand has a spyglass. The composition is dedicated not only to Mikhail Illarionovich, but also to all the heroes of the war of 1812 - soldiers, militia and partisans, officers and military leaders. This idea is reflected in numerous smaller figures located below the side and back. These creators of victory are also in military uniform, with weapons in their hands, including pitchforks. They are ready to defend their homeland again and again.
