Sculptures “Allegory of Water” and “Allegory of Air”

Description:

At the crossroads of the Ukrainian Boulevard, as well as Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow, there are sculptures "Allegory of Water" and "Allegory of Air". The opening took place in 2005, when restoration work was carried out on this boulevard.

The design of the boulevard was planned to decorate in a bizarre and unusual style. That is why the task was entrusted to the famous Russian sculptor Alexander Burganov, who works in the style of romanticism. And also to the national architect Evgeny Rozanov.

The sculpture "Allegory of Water" is a bronze image of a horse with a fish tail. On the hippocampus sits a muse of water with wide-open wings, which resembles an angel in a female image.

Another monument, The Allegory of Air, also features an angel sitting on a cloth. One side of the fabric circles over a female angel, thus giving the impression that the fabric protects against bad weather conditions.

Near these sculptures is the metro station "Kyivskaya", so everyone can easily get to them.
