Smolensk metro bridge
Description:
Smolensk metro bridge, which is located in Moscow, was opened in March 1937. It was one of the first bridges in Russia, the purpose of which was associated with the movement of metro trains. Its length is 228 meters. At the same time, he combines such stations as Smolenskaya and Kyivskaya, which belong to the Filevskaya metro line.
The metro bridge is located closer to the western part of the city center. Passes over such embankments as Taras Shevchenko, Smolensk and Krasnopresnenskaya.
The authors of the project were Soviet engineers and architects who chose the modest design of this bridge. This structure has a single-span steel structure, which is made in the form of an arch. This bridge is decorated with a steel coat of arms of the subway, which is located in the vault castle.
It is noteworthy that for all its existence, the Smolensk metro bridge has repeatedly appeared in Soviet and Russian films of different genres.
