Description:
St. Danilovsky Monastery, located in the city of Moscow, is the oldest religious monument. It is over seven hundred years old!
The founder of the monastery is the son of Alexander Nevsky Daniel. Many trials had to pass this Orthodox monastery, but it has survived, pleases Orthodox Christians and tourists to this day.
Centuries-old events left their imprint on the monastery. A particularly difficult time came with the coming to power of the Communists, when the Orthodox shrine ceased to formally exist.
But life went on. The bells were sent for melting, and the bell tower was ordered to be dismantled. In 1930, in the St. Danilov Monastery was located isolation for children who became enemies of the people. There were no conditions for their maintenance, so many simply died.
The temple is now active. At his disposal managed to return the bells, there are many shrines on the territory.
