Trinity Tower of the Moscow Kremlin
The Kremlin, Alexander Garden, Moscow
Description:
The highest tower of the Kremlin on the west side, many consider it the most beautiful. It was built by an Italian architect in the XV century, but later it was completed several times. Several tiers above it were built and added fragments not of red, but of white stone.
The loopholes expanded when the capital feared a Swedish invasion.
In general, the Trinity Tower was considered the most important defensive structure on the Neglinnaya River, cut off from land.
The Trinity Gate is the second most important gate after the Spassky Gate. Here came the tsars after the victorious military battles and honorably escorted to the gates of the Spasskys. Through the tower, the highest clergy entered the Kremlin. Now the Trinity Gate is the main entrance to the Kremlin, which is made over the bridge.
The Presidential Orchestra is currently in the tower.
