Alexandrovka Street

aleksandrovka street, Kryukovo district, Zelenograd district, Moscow city

Description:

The street began its history from a long time ago. Historians still debate the exact date of its origin. It is known that its roots begin with the XVIII century. Then in its place was an ordinary small village called Alexandrovka. In Soviet times, the village was dispersed, and the territory was given to the city of Zelenograd. The village huts were finally destroyed by the war of 1941-1945. The fighting was several kilometers away, but the fragments from the exploded shells flew to the former village. After the victory, a mass grave appeared in the village, on which a little later a monument was erected.

Now on Aleksandrovka Street there is a sleeping 14th district, a maternity hospital and a bus parking. There's public transport. The length of the new asphalted street is more than 500 meters.
