School Street

School Street, located in Tagansky district, in the center of Moscow, near the metro stations Rimskaya and Ilyich Square, is a real open-air museum. The length of the street is 700 meters. Here are preserved buildings of the 19th century, and some of the late 18th century. According to historical information, passing trains stopped here. Part of the street is pedestrian.

Here you can enjoy the charming view of ancient architecture, so harmoniously blended into the modern image of Moscow. The historical Moscow street is given great attention. During its restoration, gas lanterns appeared here, a pavement corresponding to that time. This street is a favorite place for photographers, connoisseurs of art and history of the city.
