Estate "Grebnevo"
Description:
The estate of Grebnevo in the Moscow region is a sad example of how sometimes architectural and historical monuments of even federal significance are abandoned due to the inattention of local authorities and the irrational expenditure of funds allocated once for their restoration.
Back in the XVI century in the scribe books it is mentioned that the estate belongs to Bogdan Belsky, who served as a squire under Ivan the Terrible. Later, the estate was owned by Trubetskoy, Galitsin and Bibikov. Under Trubetskoy unique ponds with a reservoir were built here, some of these reservoirs have survived to this day. Under G. Bibikov, the estate has already taken the form that can be seen today: the lord’s house and the Grebnevskaya church are being built.
During the Soviet era, the estate was used as a sanatorium, warehouse and other economic needs. It wasn’t until 1960 that it was declared a monument, but the buildings just fell apart over the years without any repair. Only in the early nineties of the last century, restoration began there, but an unexpected fire finally completed the local desolation.
