Kogino Manor

Russia, Moscow region, Ruza district, Kozhino village

Description:

In the Ruza district of the Moscow region, a few kilometers from Staraya Ruza, the Kozhino estate is located. In the middle of the XVIII century, the estate belonged to Prince N.S. Dolgorukov, then passed to Prince A.V. Khovansky and at the beginning of the XIX century to his son P.A. Khovansky, and in the middle of the century the estate was owned by the real state adviser A.P. Mikulina. The most famous building of the estate is the Temple of the Resurrection. The temple in Kozhino for a long time retained its original exquisite appearance, both external and internal, but later it was almost irretrievably lost.

Currently, the church at the expense of parishioners is gradually restored and takes on its unique appearance. At the temple, a refectory and Sunday school were created, and in the future much more work is planned on cleaning the territory and building buildings for the needs of the church.
