Description:

Uzkoye Estate in Moscow is a picturesque place for solitude and reflection. There are different versions about the name of this place. Local residents claim that the real name of the estate was once “Uzhskaya”, since there are many already. Researchers associate this definition with the surname or nickname of one of the former owners of the territory.

But it would be more logical to call the estate “louder”, it was owned at different times by representatives of really famous surnames: the princes of Golitsina, Trubetskoy, Tolstoy. At the end of his life, the famous philosopher and historian V. Solovyov worked here.

The center of the estate is a manor house, where a rich collection of paintings, furniture, interior of past centuries is stored. The estate and landscapes around it often inspired creative people, for example, Boris Pasternak sincerely called it the home of unprecedented beauty. On the famous lime alley Anna Akhmatova loved to walk. Near the estate there is a temple of the icon of the Kazan Mother of God, which is also very beautiful.

Now only a park with a cascade of ponds is open in the estate for visits. The rest of the territory is occupied by the sanatorium of the Academy of Sciences.

Getting here is easy, you need to turn from Sevastopol Avenue to Tyutchevskaya Alley, it will lead directly to the gates of the estate.
