119435, Moscow, M. Pirogovskaya str., 16, wing 2

About the company:

Pavel Dmitrievich Korin House-Museum, which is part of the All-Union (since 1994 - All-Russian) Museum Association "State Tretyakov Gallery", is located in a small wing on Malaya Pirogovskaya Street (house 16, building 2). The artist moved here in 1933. This building is associated with a significant part of the creative life of P.D. Korin, as well as his collecting activities, which resulted in an extensive collection of ancient Russian icon painting. At the end of his life, the artist made a will, according to which all his collection of icons, the house and everything that was in it were to be transferred to the property of the Tretyakov Gallery and preserve the appearance that they would have had at the time of his death. After the death of P.D. Korin in 1967, his widow P.T. Korin made the same appeal to the Tretyakov Gallery and the Ministry of Culture of the country. In 1968, the Council of Ministers of the USSR decided to accept as a gift a collection of ancient Russian art and to organize in the house of P.D. Korin an art museum - a branch of the Tretyakov Gallery. Its first director and custodian was P.T. Corina.

On 21.11.24 the museum is closed for restoration.
