Walking through the historical enfilade of the third floor, leaving the Gostiny Dvor Atrium to the left, you find yourself in the bright halls of the China-Gorod Gallery. Twenty-two steps up the openwork cast-iron staircase - a secret miracle of the Gostiny Dvor - will lead you to the vaulted halls of the mezzanine floor of the gallery. The venue for conferences on topical issues of contemporary art, as well as meetings of the film club, screenings of feature and documentaries by Russian authors. Having opened on March 3, 2023 with a unique exhibition “Donbass. Industrial Portrait”, brought to the capital by the Donetsk Republican Art Museum, the exhibition hall China-Gorod declares itself as an exposition space for especially significant projects presenting the works of classics of fine arts of Russia of the XX - XXI centuries. “We will not see, we will show, we will not know!” is our motto.
