State Museum and Exhibition Center "ROSIZO"

The Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture "Rosizo State Museum and Exhibition Center" dates back to 1959, when the Directorate of Art Funds and Monuments Design was established under the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR. From 1977 to 1994, there was the Republican Center for Art Exhibitions and Propaganda of Fine Arts "Rosizopropaganda". The center held traveling exhibitions and distributed works of art to museums of the USSR. Over the years, about five hundred thousand works of art were transferred to them.

Today ROSIZO is a multidisciplinary organization engaged in the development and implementation of exhibition projects, independently and in partnership with leading world museums and cultural institutions. The ROSIZO fund has more than 45,000 storage units. ROSIZO performs all museum functions: from storage, study, restoration and public presentation of museum objects and museum collections to cultural and educational programs and international cultural cooperation. One of the main tasks of ROSIZO is to popularize the artistic heritage of Russia and modern Russian art.
