About the company:
The RGAFC Historical and Sports Museum, one of Russia’s leading sports museums, unites three independent exhibitions under one roof:
(a) Olympic,
b) history of the Academy of Physical Culture,
(c) ski.
The museum funds more than 500 items, photographs, books. The exhibits tell about the International Olympic Committee, about the Olympic symbols, about the summer and winter Olympic games, about the participation of the USSR and Russia in the Olympic movement. The second exposition tells about the history of the Academy from 1918 to the present. Photos, documents, objects (sports equipment, sports signs and tokens) help to see how students of the 20s, 30s of the twentieth century studied. The ski exhibition reflects the age-old evolution of flat skis and sticks, boots and fasteners. According to experts, the museum houses the most complete collection of flat skis in Russia.
