About the company:

The Museum "Underground Printing House of the Central Committee of the RSDLP of 1905-1906" first opened its doors in 1923 and became a monument to the political history of Russia, the times of the First Russian Revolution, covering the history of the illegal activities of the RSDLP (Bolshevik). Since 1924 it has been a branch of the Museum of the Revolution.

In the days of the First Russian Revolution, on Lesnoy Street, literally under the nose of the police, under the guise of a fruit store (“Trading in Caucasian fruits Kalandadze”), an illegal printing house was opened. In fact, it was a hole dug in the ground, where you could get through a secret hole. The interior of the basement has been restored - it is a warehouse with fruits and cheese, in wooden boxes. Stacks of leaflets and illegal newspapers were hidden at the bottom of the boxes. Also here is the main tool - the printing press "American".

The professionalism of the illegal printers was so high that the police never discovered the secret printing press.

The museum complex clearly shows the conditions and environment in which underground workers worked, it will give you the opportunity to feel the spirit of that time.
