About the company:
Orlov Paleontological Museum is one of the largest museums in the world of natural history. Its history began with the Kunstkamera, founded by Peter the First. Today the exposition of the museum is located on 5000 square meters.
In six richly decorated halls, the history of life on our planet from the earliest geological period is consistently demonstrated. Here are various groups of extinct organisms. The exhibits of the museum were collected by different generations of Russian paleontologists in the country and abroad.
The first hall houses a mammoth skeleton found in Siberia in 1842. Next, you can see samples of the oldest organisms from the Precambrian to the Silurian periods. The Moscow hall introduces the geological history of the region, animals that lived in the region in different epochs. The Late Paleozoic Hall presents the collection of Professor Amalitsky, collected in 1898-1914. The museum also has a Mesozoic hall with dinosaur skeletons, and the last hall shows the huge variety of mammals of antiquity.
