About the company:

The Memorial Museum was created by the Resolution of the People's Commissariat of the RSFSR of 26.05.1942 on the basis of the Decision of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of 29.04.1920 on the preservation of the office and scientific heritage of K.A. Timiryazev. On April 27, 1946, by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR No. 288, the museum was transferred to the jurisdiction of the K.A.Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy. The museum is protected as a monument of national importance in the lists approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR of 30.08.1960 No. 1327. K.A.Timiryazev lived in this apartment from 1899 to 1920. The wife and son carefully guarded the entire memorial complex. Therefore, the unique atmosphere in the apartment was preserved in the form in which it was during the life of the owner, and the son passed the apartment from hand to hand to the museum staff. Here were L.N. Tolstoy, A.M. Gorky, I.I. Levitan, V.D. Polenov, I.P. Pavlov, the brothers Beketov, Taneyev, Knebel, etc. Most visitors note the high spirituality, great diligence and modesty of K.A. Timiryazev’s life. The museum is included in the International Directory "Cultural Institutions of the World", published in England.
