About the company:

Over the discovery, creation and further development of radio and television worked a huge galaxy of scientists, engineers, inventors enthusiasts, since the XIX century. May 7, 1895 is considered the day of the discovery of radio, when the young scientist A.S. Popov demonstrated his device - a device for wireless transmission of radio signals in the air. The exact date of the opening of television is very difficult to determine. October 1, 1931 in our country is considered the birthday of national television. The widely known word "TV" was first used as a technical term at the International Congress in Paris in 1900 and then quickly spread among specialists and then in everyday life. The first television broadcasts in Moscow were conducted from a small studio of the relay radio node of the People’s Commissariat of Communications. The received image on the screen at that time was quite conventional, not very clear, but it was possible to distinguish the appearance of a person and famous objects. At the end of 1934, television broadcasts became regular. In 1935, the Kozitsky Leningrad Plant produced the first batch of B-2 television receivers. The great general interest in television in our country led to the fact that at the end of 1936 the Soviet of People's Commissars of the USSR decided to build a special television radio station in Moscow. For the construction of a television radio station, a site was chosen on Shabolovka Street, where a radio test station of the People's Commissariat of Communications was already located and there was a metal radio tower 150 m high, built in 1922 according to the project of academician V.G. Shukhov. In a short time, two buildings were built, in which they were located: a studio with an area of 100 square meters. meters, hardware, transmitters and various auxiliary equipment. Traitorous television antennas were installed on top of the Shukhov Tower. The first experimental broadcast from Shabolovka took place on March 9, 1937, and on December 31, 1938 the Moscow Television Center (MTC) was put into permanent operation and became part of the Moscow Radio Broadcasting Directorate of the People’s Commissariat of Communications. On November 5, 1967, on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, the Act of the State Commission on the acceptance into operation of the first stage of construction of the tower was signed. Ostankino TV Tower began broadcasting four television and three radio programs. Powerful transmitters "Hurricane" 1 and 3, "Len" 8 and 11 television channels provided a confident reception of programs at a distance of 120 km from the tower. Construction on the tower continued until December 26, 1968, when the Act of the State Commission on the commissioning of the second stage of construction was signed. In addition to the existing, the fifth television transmitter \"Ladoga\" 33 channels and three transmitters of the VHF World Cup \"Med\" came into operation. The transmitter "Hurricane" channel 1 began broadcasting color images. Finishing works were completed on 3 floors of the restaurant "Seventh Heaven", the first tourists went to the tower. Climbing the tower you can visit the observation deck, 3 halls of the restaurant "Seventh Sky", and admire the view of Moscow from a height exceeding the height of the Egyptian pyramids and the Eiffel Tower. Part of the floor in the restaurant slowly rotates and in 45 minutes you can make a complete revolution around the axis of the tower. In good weather, from the observation deck (height 337m) and from the restaurant, Moscow is visible for 30-40 km. And under your feet is a miracle! Fragment of the floor is made of particularly durable glass, which allows you to feel hovering above the ground. In the excursion building of the Ostankino TV Tower is located k/z "Royal". Cozy chamber hall of 750 seats. The scene can be seen from any row. The hall is equipped with modern sound and lighting equipment. Concerts of the best professional performers, solemn events, show programs are held in the K/Z. The buffets are working.
