Museum of the History of Medicine MGMSU

The Museum of the History of Medicine of the Moscow State Medical and Dental University (opened in 1987) is unique in its kind. Firstly, because it reflects the life and development of the institute and dentistry of the country as a whole, and, secondly, because the collected material is unique in the field of dentistry and dentistry and systematized in the aspect of scientific research. It is no coincidence that students come here not only to get acquainted with the exhibits, but also to study, and the older generation of teachers and professors can not only remember, but also analyze the development of scientific and practical dentistry.

The exposition is based on materials that reveal the formation and development of dentistry in Russia. These are personal belongings of dental scientists, scientific papers, books and notes, medical instruments, materials, devices. Of particular value are 5 dental machines (including 2 dental offices), which are in working condition. The oldest of them is 1890 (knife drill with mechanical drive). The museum has a historical and medical library.
