About the company:

The opening of the Museum of History of the Moscow Locomotive Repair Plant took place on May 6, 2005, the year of the 60th anniversary of the Great Victory. This was the result of joint efforts of the veteran organization and the plant administration. The main exposition of the museum is the participation of employees of the enterprise in the Great Patriotic War. More than 1,000 workers of the plant, leaving peaceful labor, went to the front, courageously and steadfastly fighting the German invaders. Those who left for the front were replaced by women and 14-15-year-old boys who stood behind lathes, milling machines, made military products. Combat feats and selfless work of the plant workers are reflected in numerous photos and documents posted on the stands of the museum. The most valuable exposition of the museum includes personal belongings, trophies of war veterans. In honor of the 170th anniversary of railway transport, a special exposition was created, which reflects the main stages of the formation and development of railway transport in Russia. The plant created a museum council, which included workers of the plant: I.L. Makhnovsky, M.L. Belkin, V.N. Meshchenin, A.A. Rubtsov, N.N. Dankovtsev, G.V. Gutor, N.I. Trofimov, A.A. Abramov. In 2006, the Museum of the Moscow Locomotive Repair Plant took 2nd place in the city competition for the best museum in Moscow, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow. The museum is constantly replenished with new materials and exhibits reflecting the bright pages of the history of the plant, showing the selfless work of its employees for the benefit of the plant and the prosperity of our Motherland.
