About the company:
In the very center of the university campus, in the old Iveronovsky Garden, there is a bright red building of the Museum of History of the Timiryazev Academy (University). The museum has two branches-departments in other buildings: since February 2013, the Vavilov Center (cabinet-museum) was opened, in 2014 - the Cabinet-Museum of Plant Production.
The museum is an intradepartmental one, and was created for various lectures to students, graduate students, guests, as well as schoolchildren on the history and modernity of the educational institution. The main purpose of the museum is to preserve and popularize information about the development of the university, the fate of graduates and teachers, collecting photo library and archival documents on the educational institution and people associated with it. The museum is located in an old building built in 1806, the former museum of mineralogy of the counts Razumovsky, later rebuilt into a residential teaching house. In this building, the museum moved in 1985 after its reconstruction. The red facades are a “talking” memory of the color of the military banner, since the museum was born as a room of military glory of the Academy during the Great Patriotic War.
