Museum-apartment of Svyatoslav Richter

On January 5, 1999, a new department was opened at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts - Svyatoslav Richter Memorial Apartment. In this apartment, the great musician Svyatoslav Teofilovich Richter lived the last 30 years of his life. There was a rich creative life: in the office of S.T. Richter studied, in a large living room with two pianos he performed with colleagues and often received friends: musicians, poets, artists, artists; here the spirit of creativity and high intelligence reigned. Visitors to the museum-apartment of S.T. Richter can see the books that were read by the owners of the house, the paintings that surrounded them, the musical instruments that reigned here. Within these walls you can see video recordings of the famous concerts of S.T. Richter, the works played by him sound.
