On November 1, 1990, by the decision of the Presidium of the Council of the Fund of Culture under the chairmanship of Academician D.S. Likhachev, the Cultural Center - the House of the Poet Marina Tsvetaeva was registered. The official opening of the house-museum took place on September 12, 1992. Over the years, the museum has become a center for the study of the life and work of Marina Tsvetaeva, it annually hosts International Tsvetaev Scientific and Thematic Conferences, literary and musical evenings.
