Museum of the Theatre of the Russian Army

The museum is located in a unique building of the Army Theater, in the design of which the idea of merging painting and architecture by the best monumental artists of the 30s was implemented (V. Favorsky, L. Bruni, A. Deineka). The museum funds contain more than 33 thousand items of storage; include 29 thousand negatives; photographs; personal archives of outstanding theater figures: F. Ranevskaya, L. Dobrzhanskaya, A.D. and A.A. Popov, V. Zeldin, L. Kasatkina, L. Chursina; a collection of rare books and gifts to the theater; fine collection: sketches of costumes and scenery of famous Russian artists: I. Fedotov, Yu. Pimenov, N. Shifrin, V. Tatlina, I. Sumbatashvili.
