The museum is located in the village of Darovoe, which was purchased by F.M. Dostoevsky’s father for the family’s summer vacation. Free - a picturesque corner of the suburbs. Near the museum is a small forest, which in memory of the writer is still called "Fedina Grove". The exposition is located in a wooden wing that once belonged to Dostoevsky. The exposition includes copies of letters and photographs. Near the museum is a monument to F.M. Dostoevsky by Yu.F. Ivanov.
