Museum of Faith by Wool
143300, Moscow region, Naro-Fominsky district, Kryukovo
About the company:
A small museum dedicated to the Russian spy Vera Voloshyna opened in the village of Kryukovo on June 29, 2012.
In November 1941, two sabotage and reconnaissance groups moved to the rear of the German troops to set fire to villages captured by the Germans. Among the participants were Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya and Vera Voloshin. When crossing the front, the combined detachment came under fire - had to split up. Vera's team headed towards the village of Golovkovo, but on the way came across the Germans - the girl was wounded and taken prisoner. She was executed on the same day as Zoe Kosmodemyanskaya.
About the fate and feat Voloshin was not known until the 1980s. The villagers did not know the name of the girl and all these years called her simply "our partisan". In 1994, by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Voloshin was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.
The exposition of the museum contains photographs, documents and other exhibits telling about the life and death of the Faith. In the village there is a monument to the heroine, and an obelisk was erected at the place of her death in Golovkovo.
