About the company:

In 1971, under the signature of local historians Shishkov, Moroshkin and Puzitikov, a note appeared in the Odintsovo newspaper "New Frontiers" entitled "Broad Horizons for Local Studies." This was the beginning of a serious conversation about the museum. On June 12, 1982, the decision of the Executive Committee of the City Council to establish a local history museum appeared. Created by the efforts of local historians, artists, lovers of antiquity, the museum opened its doors on September 1, 1989. The museum includes 5 sections. The first hall tells about the history of Odintsov, starting with archaeological finds and ending in the 19th century. Two halls are dedicated to the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The literary hall introduces the protected places of Odintsovo land associated with the names of A.S. Pushkin, A.P. Chekhov, M.M. Prishvin. The exposition presents Odintsovo in the XX century, shows the development of culture and sports.
