School Memorial Museum of Nadia Rusheva

Moscow City School No. 1466. Rusheva's Hopes

About the company:

Nadezhda Rusheva’s name has been heard in school No. 1466 (formerly No. 470) since its foundation in 1966. At first she was referred to as a simple student, then as the pride of the school, and when Nadia died, her museum was created.

It all started back in 1971. Subsequently, the headmaster of the school, Nina Georgievna Kolesnikova, was then engaged in educational work. In those years, Nadia’s father Nikolai Konstantinovich was alive, with him Nina Georgievna and began to create a museum. There was no special room for him, and enthusiasts were allocated a bedroom for an extended day group. There, around the small beds, and the first exhibition of drawings of Hope in cardboard frames was located. It was visited by many, and someone even wrote a poem in which it was said how babies sleep and have wonderful, good dreams, inspired by the work of Nadia.

Fantasies of the girl-artist and childhood dreams lived next to 3 years, and then the bedroom was transferred, and the museum had its own room. The drawings were dressed in white wooden frames, as suggested by Nikolai Konstantinovich. He was an amazing man. He devoted his whole life to his daughter. He studied a lot with her, read aloud her favorite books, and the girl at this time drew, took her works to various exhibitions. When Nadia lost consciousness in his last morning, he went with her to the hospital. The girl could not be saved...

Nikolai Konstantinovich did a lot to ensure that the memory of Nadezhda Rusheva did not fade away. When telling about each drawing, he recalled an interesting episode associated with its creation, and trusted his listeners.

Stories of Nikolai Konstantinovich and now live in our museum, however, pass them to the visitors of the exposition today's schoolchildren, and the museum is quite different - in 1985-1986 it was reconstructed, which helped the Republic of Tuva, the birthplace of Natalia Doidalovna Azhikmaa, mother of Nadezhda Rusheva.

In the spring of 2005, everything changed again, and the museum had two halls.

On March 6, 2006, the State Museum of A.S. Pushkin presented 1,218 original drawings of Nadia.

Now you can see drawings of different cycles, hear a story about the history of the wonderful and talented Rushevy family, watch unique photos and films, attend master classes. In our museum you will have the opportunity to touch the amazing world of Nadia’s work, the world of her fantasies and dreams, the world where beauty, goodness and eternal youth reign.
