Sanatorium "Zvenigorod" in Moscow

Sanatorium "Zvenigorod" is located in the suburbs in one of the most picturesque places, near the city of Zvenigorod on the high bank of the Moscow River 45 km from Moscow, in the so-called Russian Switzerland - Zvenigorodye. In this area of the Moscow region there are no large factories, on the contrary: the air is saturated with the aromas of meadow flowers, grasses and forests, which attracts tourists to come for treatment and rest in the sanatorium Zvenigorod of the Moscow City Hall. Zvenigorod is a zone with excellent climatological data: in the 19th century, the Darya mineral spring with unsurpassed healing properties was found here.

Sanatorium "Zvenigorod" of the City Hall and the Government of Moscow is surrounded by a beautiful historical park with an area of 56 hectares, on the territory of the Sheremetev estate "Vvedenskoye" - an architectural monument of the XIX century, designed and built by the great Russian architect N. A. Lvov on the instructions of Emperor Paul I.

From the windows of the estate there is a breathtaking view of the Moscow River valley lying below with the contours of the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery extending into the distance.

The walls of the estate were silent witnesses of the meetings of the Russian Emperor Paul with one of his favorites. If you are lucky enough to visit the sanatorium "Zvenigorod" of the Moscow City Hall, you will be shown the room of their romantic dates, the walls of which are now covered with wallpaper with a drawing of a lily, a flower of august persons.

Sanatorium "Zvenigorod" was reconstructed in 1996. The reconstruction gave a second life to the old manor and now it consists of 3 VIP-class buildings with 196 beds. All rooms of the Zvenigorod sanatorium of the Moscow City Hall meet European standards.
