In Tarusa there is a factory of ceramic products, which is famous for its extraordinary souvenirs and household items.
Among others is the Tarusian rooster. Why the rooster? I suggest to recall the poem by N. Zabolotsky:
I hate Marusa Roosters and geese. How many of them walk in Tarus, Lord Jesus!
True now, roosters on the streets of Tarusa can only be found such as the picture - ceramic!
