Northern Fleet Drama Theatre

The drama theater of the Northern Fleet began with a small amateur theater, which was based in the premises of the House of the Red Army and Navy, located in the city of Polar. The first performance, presented in 1936, was a dramatic production of "Death of the Squadron", and the first actors were the sailors themselves and their wives.

In 1946, the drama theater moved to Murmansk, where it is still located. The main theme was performances on the military-patriotic theme, and gradually the team was replenished with new professional actors and directors. In 1987, the theater received its own building, located near the city center.

Over the years of its activity, the Drama Theatre of the Northern Fleet has repeatedly performed at various stage venues of the largest Russian cities, participated in festivals and competitions, and toured Europe. This is the oldest theater of the Murmansk region, deservedly won the love and respect of numerous spectators.
