Lake Lovno
Description:
Lovno is a lake in the west of the Murmansk region, on the Kola Peninsula. The river Launjoki that flows from it connects the lake with the Barents Sea. The height above sea level is just over 130 meters, the length of the lake is 14 kilometers, and the total area is about 10 square kilometers.
A trip to the lake will allow you to relax and fish well. Nature here is incredibly beautiful, and the lake itself is rich in fish - trout, perch. However, it is allowed to fish on Lovno only under a paid license issued by the RPU "Kola Fishing". Here you can see swans that are allowed to come quite close.
There's an apartment building on the lake. There are rumors that it was built by customs officers who come here for vacation. There is also an abandoned camp of geologists, where you can spend the night. Finns like to visit the lake, kayaking on it. There are fears that after the discovery of such rocks as nickel, uranium and copper on Lovno and the construction of the plant, the ecological condition of the lake will deteriorate. Murmansk residents go to the lake in winter on snowmobiles for fishing.
There are many marshes on the shores, so getting to the lake is not so easy. There are not many people who risk coming here. Cars are stalling. Only a quad bike will save, and in winter - a snowmobile.
