Monument to Valentin Pikul
Description:
To the 85th anniversary of V. S. Pikul, a monument was opened in Murmansk. The bronze sculpture depicts a man sitting on a boulder. He looks away, towards the Kola Bay.
And there in 2008, a bust of V. Pikul was already installed, on the pedestal of which the words of Valentin Savvich were stamped: “I know nothing more beautiful than the Russian North.”
The author of the monument is Murmansk sculptor A.G. Arsentyev. The weight of the monument is 5 tons, the height is 2.85 m. On the granite pedestal is the inscription: "Outstanding Russian writer Valentin Savvich Pikul".
