Square Five Corners
The square crosses several streets - Pushkinskaya, Vorovsky, Leningrad and Lenin Avenue.
Description:
Five Corners Square is so named because it used to have five roads. Only four have survived to this day.
In Soviet times, the square bore the name of the “Soviet Constitution”, but after the collapse of the Union, it remained the name given by the people.
Five Corners Square is the heart of Murmansk. It houses the buildings of the regional Duma, the Palace of Culture named after Kirov, the hotel "Arctic" and "Meridian", the department store "Wave". Various concerts and demonstrations are constantly held in the square.
Near the square, in the park there is a monument to the Victims of Foreign Intervention, built with popular money collected by subscription among citizens on the tenth anniversary of the October Revolution.
