Ecological and Methodological Center "Nature House" was opened on May 19, 1987. The construction was initiated by the Nature Conservation Society. In 1992, the House of Nature became part of the Department of Culture of the City Hall of Nadym. The main tasks set by the EMC "Nature House" are the promotion of environmental knowledge and methodological support of all types and forms of environmental work in the direction of work: educational activities among the population of the city, holding various exhibitions, lectures, thematic lessons, exposition work. A unique authentic material on the history of Stalin’s repressions in the region was collected. The exposition "501st construction" was designed. History and fate", "Ethnography, folk ecology of the Nenets", "Animal world of the Arctic region", etc. Excursions are complemented by showing videos on relevant topics. The presence of a living corner with exotic species of birds and animals, as well as an aquarium hall make EMC "Nature House" attractive for all ages and groups. |
