If you get acquainted with all the sights of Kostroma and you want the peace and tranquil beauty of small towns, then a trip to the small county town of Nerekhta will be an excellent solution.

Few in which city you can see such a number of attractions as in Nerecht, because it is often called an open-air museum.

One of the main attractions of Nerechta is the Trinity-Sypanov Pakhomievo-Nerecht convent. In the temple are the relics of the disciple of St. Sergei of Radonezh - St. Pachomius. Not far from the monastery is a holy spring.

In addition, you can visit several more ancient temples of the city, explore and monuments of civil architecture: shopping arcades, house "socks" - the house of merchant Khvorinov (late 18th century), etc., visit the local museum.

If you wish, you can visit the Shepherd’s House and get acquainted with the Nerecht choir of horners, as well as learn about the main instrument of the choir – the Russian shepherd’s song horn.
