Nerecht Museum of Local History

The ensemble of the Bryukhanov hospital is a red brick building in the Art Nouveau style. Decorated with majolica tiles of purple and malachite colors. The building is one of the most beautiful in Nerecht, it was built in the first years of the XX century by Nerecht manufacturer K.A. Bryukhanov. At the beginning of the last century, there was a hospital for factory workers, in the Soviet period - a city maternity hospital.

Today, this building houses temporary exhibitions of the museum, including exhibitions on the history of Nerecht merchants, entrepreneurship and craft art: “The land is handicraft, rich”, “The famous houses of merchant Nerechta” and “For the glory of the fatherland”. There are also regular exhibitions of artists from Nerechta and other regions.
