Monument to Gabdulla Tukayu

The monument to Gabdulla Tukayu is a beautiful sculpture of the famous Tatar folk poet, publicist, literary critic and translator Gabdulla Mukhamedgarifovich Tukay.

The monument to Gabdulla Tukayu is located in a small beautiful square on Tukay Street, in the northwest of the city of Nizhnekamsk. It is a bust of young Gabdulla Tukay on a high granite pedestal. The granite pedestal is decorated with a memorial plaque with the initials of the classics of Tatar literature and the years of his life. The monument was erected in 1991, and a year later its second monument was erected in Nizhnekamsk.

Around the bust of the great Tatar writer, cultural and educational events are often held to honor the memory of Gabdulla Tukay.
