Bolshoy Boldino - Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin
Description:
On the last morning of August 1830, Pushkin left Moscow. Fast driving, the usual road pictures.
The path is not close: 500 versts through Vladimir, Murom, Arzamas in the estate of his father, the village of Boldino, Nizhny Novgorod province. Calling bells under the arcs of oncoming sleds, behind, there are cities, post stations, villages, city estates. In a few days, they should be there...
The trip is caused by necessity: it is necessary to perform the formalities for entering into possession of two hundred serf souls, which Sergey Lvovich Pushkin allocated to his eldest son before marriage. The poet intends to stay in the village for no more than a month.
There are clear, but already in autumn cool days. The roadside grass yellows and dries, the first golden leaves glow in the green crowns of trees. The poet’s heart is disturbing: “Autumn is coming.” This is my favorite time... the time for my literary work is coming. I am going to the village, God knows if I will have time to study there ..., Pushkin wrote in a letter to his friend Pletnev.
Alexander Sergeyevich does not even suspect that Boldino will associate with his name in the same way as the lovely village of Mikhailovskoye, that the Boldin autumn will forever remain one of the best memories in his life, that fate will lead him to this village lost among the boundless spaces for the second and third time.
More than 180 years have passed since then. Nowadays in Boldino opened a museum-reserve of A.S. Pushkin, which has become a place of pilgrimage for thousands of people. It includes the manor of the Pushkins, the protected grove Luchinnik, the house and garden of the eldest son of the poet in the village of Lvivka and the building of the Boldin church, built in the late 18th century by the grandfather of A. S. Pushkin.
Now people visit Boldino to at least get in touch with those places where once created the world-famous Russian poet and writer Alexander Pushkin. They come to get acquainted with the history of his life and work. I invite you to visit this wonderful place.
