If you put city gingerbread in a Khokhlom vase, if you eat draught beer with fresh cheese - this is our excursion. Malinovskiy hermitage, town ramparts, doll factory, City of masters and other attractions are waiting for you on this Volga way.
The first point of our program will be the Malinovsky Skete, where in 1908-1911 Nizhny Novgorod patrons N. A. Bugrov and N. A. Blinov built a beautiful temple of the Vladimir (Kazan) Icon of the Mother of God.
I will tell you how the Old Believers lived in the Kerwoman forests. Then we will visit the city of Semyonov, the center of crafts and the factory of the famous "Khokhloma".
In the Matryoshka Museum you will get acquainted with the history of the development of folk craft. You will see how Khokhloma is born and you can buy beautiful and high-quality souvenirs. From the monument to Boris Kornilov, we will walk through the center of Semyonov, see the DK-Church, the golden fountain and the Khokhlom balalaika.
After lunch we will go to the Volga to the city of Gorodets.
In Gorodets you will see the ancient ramparts that did not save the citizens from the invasion of the hordes of Batu and Yedigei, visit the Fedorovsky monastery, where Prince Alexander Nevsky died in 1263, and the house of the “red” Countess Panina. Then we will walk through the carved courtyards of the City of Masters, see the unique urban painting. In the museum of samovars, in the house of merchant Grishaev, you will get acquainted with the exposition, which includes more than 500 samovars. On the picturesque embankment we will taste city gingerbread with tea.
At the request of tourists, we can visit the Gorodetsk Brewery of Kitezhbrau and the cheese factory in the village of Kurtsevo. Wishing is accepted in advance.
