The best in the Lower: streets, embankments, observation decks

Nizhny Novgorod is one of the main tourist centers of the European part of Russia. An exciting history, rare monuments, finally, stunning views (where else without them) - this is not the whole list of reasons for visiting the capital of the Volga region. It is the main monuments and events in the Nizhny Novgorod history and architecture, as well as the iconic observation decks that our sightseeing tour will be devoted to.

The tour involves both a car and a pedestrian option and, among other things, includes:

Street. Big Pokrovskaya - ceremonial gloss, lush monuments, city sculptures and other attributes of the main pedestrian street of the city;

– Fedorovsky embankment, which overlooks one of the main Russian landscapes – the arrow of the Oka and the Volga;
Street. Christmas - an ancient business center, "Nizhny Novgorod City" with luxury apartment houses, courtyards-wells and a magnificent Stroganov (Christmas) Church, which has no analogues in Russian architecture;
- Upper Volga embankment, where the facades of the ceremonial buildings look at breathtaking river landscapes;

People's unity - a diverse architectural ensemble, on a small patch connecting the fates of K. Minin, M. Gorky, N. Bugrov and other historical personalities;
- Chkalov staircase, striking both its scope and the views opening from it;

- the territory of the former Nizhny Novgorod Fair - the largest in the world - with its Main Fair House, the monumental Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Old Fair Cathedral by the famous O. Montferrand.

Also, if desired, the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin can be included in the program of the walk - as part of the excursion or a separate route that increases its duration.

The walk will be complemented by a series of illustrations – first of all, photos of famous Nizhny Novgorod photographers A. Karelin and M. Dmitriev – which will remind you of how Nizhny was once and tell you how he changed.

The duration of the tour is from 3 hours. The meeting place in the city center is at the choice of guests.

Both a pedestrian and a car (bus) option of the tour is possible (on a rented car or guest car).
