Then I propose to make a fascinating journey to the legendary, sung by poets and writers, artists, the world famous lake Svetloyar. Here in the north-east of the Nizhny Novgorod region begins the Russian taiga. Here life runs its course, slowly and quite harmoniously.

On the way to the famous lake Svetloyar throughout Russia, we will look at Semenov, the famous homeland of Khokhloma. These truly Russian patterns are one of the hallmarks of Russia. It is also known as the capital of the Old Believers. Serious Kerzhenets sheltered, sheltered those who fled from the royal wrath, who did not want to betray the faith of their fathers and grandfathers. The strict life of the Old Believers, their hard work, the communal way of surviving in difficult circumstances, their inherent mutual assistance, as well as their rejection of alcohol and tobacco, general sobriety in life made them successful in merchant affairs. The features of the old county merchant town were preserved in the guise of modern Semenov. It is a cozy provincial city with a soulful atmosphere.

Immediately after Semenov we will go to the legendary lake Svetloyar. This is a place of strength and worship of the Orthodox (especially revered by adherents of the Old Believer rite), it is considered holy by the Mari people, pagans make a pilgrimage to it. Svetloyar is one of the main attractions of the Nizhny Novgorod region, an amazing miracle of nature. This lake is associated with so many mysteries, unsolved mysteries that it is also called the Russian Atlantis. The water of the lake can be stored for many years without losing its clear purity and taste.

If the weather permits, we swim in the lake.
