The Church of the Transfiguration in the Pechersk Sloboda of Nizhny Novgorod is one of the Christian values of the region. Built by the architect Ananyin instead of the burnt wooden St. Nicholas Church, which was previously part of the Pechersk Monastery located here, moved to another place at the end of the XVI century due to landslides. The church itself is currently stone with Nikolsky, Theological and Joasafovsky aisles.
