Russia, Nizhny Novgorod, 2 Nesterova St.

Description:

The church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God of all mourning joy was consecrated in 1896, the re-consecration of the order was in 2005.

This church with a particular hospital was created at the end of the XVIII century by order of the ward society. Initially, all the buildings were wooden, later, in the 20s of the XIX century, new stone buildings were erected.

The church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God is a rather peculiar architectural and artistic structure with a complex three-headed completion of the bell tower and prayer hall. Under the tiers of the central tower of the bell tower are five bells.

The structure of the temple is interesting for its stylization under the ancient Russian architecture - it can be seen in the form of a roof in the form of a barrel, the cornice is made in false mashikulas, windows with keel-shaped casings.
