The Church in the name of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Catholic church in Nizhny Novgorod. The temple is administratively divided into the Catholic Archdiocese of the Mother of God, which is headed by Archbishop Paolo Pezzi.
According to the chronology of construction, the Church in the name of the Assumption is the third Catholic church among those built in Nizhny Novgorod. After the registration of the Catholic community in Nizhny Novgorod, which occurred on February 10, 1994, the city administration returned to the community a significantly rebuilt, but still preserved Catholic church.
On January 9, 2000, the temple was consecrated by Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusevich in the name of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God.
