Lake Tuscany

Pavlovsk district, Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia

Description:

Tuscany is a small picturesque lake in the Nizhny Novgorod region, located near the city of Vorsma. The lake is recognized as a natural monument of regional importance and its beauty attracts many tourists.

Tuscany can not boast of large size - with a length of 2.5 kilometers, the area of the lake is only 178 hectares. Two rivers flow into Tuscany at once - Kishma from the south and Surin from the east. The water level is maintained by the dam.

The coast of the lake is extremely picturesque - from the north it is surrounded by a dense forest, and on one of the islands there is a restored Holy Trinity Ostrovozersky monastery of the 17th century. There are always many waterfowl on the lake, and rare plants grow along its banks, many of which are listed in the Red Book.

Overall, Tuscany is a great place for eco-tourism and a real paradise for all wildlife lovers.
